Did you know that not all tooth discoloration is caused by staining or poor oral hygiene? 🦷

Sometimes, the cause begins much earlier—while the teeth are still developing. Enamel hypoplasia occurs when enamel doesn’t develop properly and can sometimes be related to genetics or trauma to a developing tooth. It can leave areas of the teeth looking discolored, thin, pitted, or irregular—and it’s not necessarily a reflection of how well someone brushes or cares for their teeth.

That was the case for our patient pictured below. While their smile was already great, cosmetic dentistry allowed us to address the areas affected by enamel hypoplasia while keeping the result natural and true to them. ✨

There’s nothing quite like the moment a patient sees their new smile in the mirror for the first time. Seeing that spark of confidence—and their smile grow even bigger—is one of the reasons we love what we do!

We’re excited to once again be a part of the 3rd Annual Haircuts, Hotdogs & Healthy Smiles Event! 🌭✂️🦷

This awesome event brings together local businesses and community members to help kids get ready for the new school year!

If your child is entering kindergarten or 9th grade and still needs their dental screening before school starts, come see us! We’ll be there providing dental screenings as part of this fun back-to-school event. 😁

🚧 Summer Road Construction Notice 🚧

Attention West Branch Family Dentistry patients:

Road construction this summer will impact access to our office, but West Branch Family Dentistry will remain open and accessible throughout the project.

If you are traveling from the west side of West Branch via Herbert Hoover Hwy:
➡️ Take Cedar Johnson Rd to W Orange St to Pedersen St.

If you are traveling from the east side of West Branch via I-80:
➡️ Take Scott Drive to W Orange St to Pedersen St.

Look for the bright orange sign on the road closure barrier indicating that access to West Branch Family Dentistry is available.

Please allow a few extra minutes for travel time to ensure you arrive on time for your appointment.
