Dr. Zakhireh has been an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon since 1982. He has been practicing successfully in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Houston for the past 30 years. Dr. Zakhireh graduated from dental school with multiple awards, and he achieved first standing in his class. His accomplishments resulted in the award of a full scholarship to The University of Pe

nnsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Here he completed a one-year internship at the University of Pennsylvania in anesthesiology. Then he continued his studies in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery from 1979 to1982. He did his internship in this field at The University of Alabama Hospital, Birmingham. Dr. Zakhireh completed one year of residency at The University of Alabama Hospital, and his accomplishments were recognized by his appointment as Chief Resident in 1982 at the University of Alabama Hospital and the VA Hospital in Birmingham. Dr. Zakhireh was certified to administer IV sedation and general anesthesia by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners in 1983. Dr. Zakhireh passed the Florida State Bench Exam in December, 1982. He also passed the Tennessee State Board of Dentistry Bench Examination in 1982. Dr. Zakhireh obtained the Alabama Board of Dental Examiners Teaching Permit and the California Dental Board Accreditation in 2004. In the past 30 years Dr. Zakhireh has held multiple hospital affiliations: West Houston Medical Center; Memorial City General Hospital; Sunbelt Regional Hospital; Spring Branch Medical Center; Heights General Hospital; and San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Dr. Zakhireh has held many professional memberships, including: American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Texas Dental Society, Houston District Dental Society, American Dental Association, and International Association of Dentofacial Abnormalities.
