✨ MEET THE TEAM | Dr. Durham ✨

🦷 Dentist | DDS

We’re so excited to welcome Dr. Durham to W Dental! 💙 Here’s a little introduction so you can get to know her!

Dr. Durham grew up in Midland, Texas, and attended Texas A&M University, earning a degree in Nutrition with a minor in Spanish before completing dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry! 🤍

She loves all aspects of general dentistry, especially helping patients feel comfortable, relieving pain, and bringing confidence back to their smiles.
Outside the office, she enjoys traveling for mission work, skiing, spending time outdoors with her Goldendoodle-Great Pyrenees mix, Cannon 🐶, and making memories with family and friends!

We’re so happy to have her joining our W Dental team! 💙
Help us give Dr. Durham a warm welcome if you get to see her in the office 🦷✨

Don’t let tooth sensitivity put a chill on your fall! 🍂☕
Fall is the perfect time for warm coffee, cozy drinks, and seasonal treats, but tooth sensitivity can make enjoying your favourites uncomfortable. If hot or cold foods and drinks cause a sharp twinge, it’s worth finding out what’s behind it rather than simply putting up with the discomfort.
A dental checkup can help identify the cause of sensitivity and determine the right approach for getting your smile comfortable again.

Ever wonder why we’re calling out numbers at your appointment? 🦷

No, we’re not playing bingo! 🎱
Those numbers tell us a lot about your gum health and help us catch changes before they turn into bigger problems.

So next time you hear us counting, just know we’re doing a little detective work on your smile! 🕵🏼‍♀️🦷

Don’t let your dental benefits go to waste! 🦷
As the year winds down, now is a great time to check your dental insurance benefits and make sure you’re taking advantage of the coverage available to you. Many dental plans have benefits that reset or expire at the end of the year, so postponing that cleaning or treatment could mean leaving unused benefits behind.
If you’ve been putting off an appointment, October is a great time to get it on the calendar and head into the holiday season with your smile taken care of!

✨ A smile transformation I loved being a part of. ✨

This patient had a filling that had been repaired multiple times, and every time it broke, she felt embarrassed and self-conscious about her smile. She was ready for a solution that would give her more confidence and a more cohesive smile.

We chose minimal-prep veneers to address the areas she was unhappy with while preserving as much of her natural tooth structure as possible. We also used veneers on her lower teeth to cover some of the white spots and create a more uniform appearance.

I love that we were able to address both the function and the aesthetics while still keeping her smile looking like her. 🤍

Myth or fact? Let’s talk gum health! 🦷
Gum disease isn’t just an issue for older adults. It can affect people at any age, which is why taking care of your gums should be part of your everyday oral health routine.
Brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and keeping up with regular dental cleanings can help keep your gums healthy and reduce your risk of gum disease. Don’t wait for a problem to become painful before giving your gums some attention!

✨ A brighter, more cohesive smile. ✨

For this transformation, we used minimal-prep veneers on both the upper and lower teeth to cover areas of white spotting and a little chip 😉 to create a more uniform shape and shade throughout the smile.

The goal was a brighter, more polished look with the teeth matching beautifully from top to bottom — while keeping the preparation as minimal as possible. 🤍
