Earlier this month, Dr. Kaisha and her family welcomed their second baby boy! Everyone is doing well and enjoying all the newborn snuggles as a family of four.

As Dr. Kaisha begins her maternity leave, we want to wish her and her growing family all the best as they welcome their newest little one! 💕 Enjoy this special season—we can’t wait to meet Baby Heemskerk!

While she’s away, we’re excited to welcome Dr. Jori May to the Waukee Dental family for the next couple months! Dr. May is a trusted colleague, classmate and longtime friend of Dr. Kaisha’s, and she’ll be providing exceptional care alongside Dr. Kim and Dr. Kellen throughout the coming months.

⚡️ When life gives you a power outage… you throw a baby shower! 🩵🩷

Today’s plans took a little detour thanks to no power, no A/C, and emergency lights only— but our team made the very best of it by celebrating Dr. Kaisha and Baby Heemskerk! 🍼✨

We may have traded our dental lights for emergency lights, but we wouldn’t have wanted to spend the morning any other way. We’re so excited to meet the newest little member of the Heemskerk family and can’t wait to shower them with even more love.

Per MidAmerican, power is hopefully expected to be restored by mid-morning. We are closely monitoring the situation and will contact any patients whose appointments may be affected.

Amanda is celebrating an amazing 9 years with us, and Dina is marking 3 years on the Waukee Dental team!

From keeping our days running smoothly to taking great care of our patients (and keeping us laughing along the way), these two have been such an important part of our office family. We’re so thankful for their hard work, loyalty, and the heart they bring to Waukee Dental every single day.
