What an honor it was for Agape Health Services to participate in this year's Plymouth Bear Festival!

We had a wonderful time connecting with community members, sharing information about our services, and promoting health and wellness throughout the day. Our team was proud to offer free blood pressure screenings, free glucose readings, and a variety of giveaways and health resources to festival attendees.

Events like the Plymouth Bear Festival remind us how important it is to meet people where they are and make healthcare accessible, engaging, and community-focused. We are grateful for everyone who stopped by our booth, visited our Mobile Health Unit, asked questions, and took time to learn more about the care and services available through Agape Health Services.

A special thank you to the festival organizers, volunteers, vendors, and attendees who made this event such a success. We are proud to serve the communities of Eastern North Carolina and look forward to seeing you again soon!

💜 June is Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month 💜

More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease, and millions more family members and caregivers are impacted by its effects every day.

At Agape Health Services, we recognize the importance of raising awareness, supporting those affected, and helping reduce the stigma surrounding Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Through education, compassion, and community support, we can make a difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones.

As part of our awareness efforts, our clinical staff are encouraged to wear purple scrubs on Fridays throughout June in place of participating in Jeans for a Cause.

Purple is the official color of Alzheimer's awareness and serves as a visible reminder of our commitment to supporting those impacted by this disease.

In observance of Juneteenth, Agape Health Services will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026. We will resume normal business hours on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African
Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. Today, it stands as a celebration of freedom, resilience, culture, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

As we honor this important day in our nation's history, we encourage our community to take time to reflect, learn, celebrate, and support one another.

🚐📢 Important Mobile Unit Location Update – Aurora Community
Due to construction beginning on the site of our future standalone Aurora facility, the Agape Health Services Mobile Unit will be operating from a temporary location on Thursday, June 18, from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

📍 Temporary Location:
Aurora Wellness Garden
Stadium Street, Aurora, NC

Our team will continue providing services during our regular hours, and patients can still access care at the Mobile Unit throughout the day.

We are excited to see progress begin on our new facility and appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition. This construction project represents an important investment in the future of healthcare access for the Aurora community.

📣 Exciting News for Agape Health Services!

We are honored to share that Agape Health Services was recently selected as a recipient in a special giveaway celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Wilburn Medical Supply.

During the recent North Carolina Community Health Center Association Conference, Wilburn Medical Supply formally presented Dr. Michael McDuffie and Agape Health Services with a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED), which will be utilized within our clinic to support the health and safety of our patients, visitors, and staff.

We are incredibly grateful for this generous gift and for partnerships that help strengthen the care we provide throughout eastern North Carolina.
