We have extra measures in place including spaced out scheduling, HEPA filters in every room and double disinfection protocol. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns!

Dental offices already have a number of infection control procedures in place to protect staff and patients. Due to COVID-19, you may notice some additional steps being taken to protect you at your next dental appointment.

PANDEMIC UPDATE (5/28/2020):
Our Bethesda office is OPEN, and our D.C. office will re-open for appointments on Monday, June 15th.

Starting June 1st, our staff will be at both locations with augmented hours to help make sure everyone gets seen. If you have trouble reaching us by phone, please send an email to [email protected].

For the first two weeks of June, our Bethesda office will continue with our new protocol:
- only one doctor, one hygenist, and one auxillary staff each day
- spaced out scheduling (longer and fewer appointments per day) to maintain social distancing practices and allow for thorough sterilization of all surfaces - we have installed medical grade filters in each room
- contactless entry to the office, with new protective barriers and limited seating
- we will then have you update your health information and take your temperature with a no-touch thermometer
- hand sanitizer and peroxyl mouthrinse for every patient
- limiting aerosol production to the best of our ability

We of course ask that you REFRAIN FROM COMING TO THE OFFICE if you:
- have flu symptoms (fever, aches, cough etc.)
- you have been around anyone exhibiting flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days
- you have traveled in the last 14 days

We will be working on a new schedule between the two offices moving forward based on patients needs.

EXCITING NEWS! We will be re-opening our BETHESDA office only on Monday, May 18th.

Our staff will begin contacting patients on that day to reschedule any "furloughed" appointments since both offices shutdown on March 17th.

We will see both DC and Bethesda patients at the Bethesda location only for the time being. Please rest assured that we are taking these next few days to set up new protocols and extra measures to ensure safety according to the newest CDC and ADA guidelines, including(but not limited to):
- spaced out scheduling (longer and fewer appointments per day)
- contactless entry to the office, hand sanitizer and peroxyl mouthrinse for every patient

-limiting aerosol production to the best of our ability

Please understand that we will do our best to get everyone seen safely with this new normal, and we of course ask that you REFRAIN FROM COMING TO THE OFFICE if you:
-have flu symptoms (fever, aches, cough etc.)
-you have been around anyone exhibiting flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days
-you have traveled in the last 14 days

Thank you and we can't wait to see you again! :D

UPDATE: As we continue to receive rapidly progressing guidelines from the ADA and local authorities, it has become clear that we will NOT be re-opening the office as we previously hoped on April 27th.

We tentatively hope to re-open our offices (both DC and Bethesda) in mid-to-late May or early June; we will keep you posted both here and on our website: www.mywashingtondcdentist.com

If you experience a dental emergency, please contact Drs. Robert or Katie. Thank you

Dear friends and family:
The safety and health of our patients as well as our team members remains a top priority during this pandemic. We are continuing to practice universal health safety precautions and strict disinfection standards; nonetheless, we are adhering to the American Dental Association's recommendation to postpone non-emergency dental treatment at this time.

Should you experience a dental emergency, Drs. Robert and Katie will remain available to assist you and ask that you please call the office at (202) 223-2028.

Keep flossing and stay safe,
The office of Drs. Tigani

“Orthodontic treatment, if not done properly, could lead to potential bone loss, lost teeth, receding gums, bite problems, jaw pain and other issues.” -Dr. Cole, American Dental Association President

The Association announced July 11 it sent a complaint letter to the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, raising concerns over aspects of SmileDirect Club’s marketing and direct-to-consumer sales of plastic teeth aligners.
