Anterior open bite cases can be tricky.

My top recommendation will almost always be orthodontics to properly correct the bite and function. But not every patient prioritizes that path—and that’s okay.

In this case, the patient’s main goal was improving the aesthetics of the anterior teeth.

Due to decay and infection, several anterior teeth required root canal treatment first. Once endodontic therapy was completed, we restored the smile using porcelain fused to zirconia crowns.

This approach allowed us to:
✔️ Improve esthetics
✔️ Close the open bite appearance
✔️ Respect the patient’s goals without orthodontics

Different patients. Different priorities. Same goal—helping them feel confident in their smile.

Our patient—who’s also been a dear friend for over 10 years—came to us ready to start a new chapter. Years of failing dentition had left him unable to smile or eat comfortably, and it was time for a true transformation.

We performed a full-mouth extraction and placed dental implants to support an implant overdenture. This approach provided a life-changing upgrade in both function and esthetics, while remaining a cost-effective alternative to full-arch hybrid solutions.
