Lewis Periodontics and Associates, PLLC IMANI E. LEWIS, DDS, MS A unique dental research opportunity in bone regeneration ignited Dr. Lewis' interest in periodontology.

Dr. Lewis completed his undergraduate education at Morehouse College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society. After college, Dr. Lewis continued his education at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He was later recognized by the faculty for excellence in clinical periodont

ics and patient care. Dr. Lewis decided to continue his training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). There he earned both a Certificate of Advanced Study in Periodontology and Master of Science in Periodontology. Dr. Lewis is particularly proud to be recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. This status is granted to a periodontist who has completed significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty. Less than 50% of periodontists are board certified. Dr. Lewis is an active member of the following organizations:

American Dental Association
District of Columbia Dental Society
National Dental Association

Dr. Lewis has participated as a speaker and presented research at national conferences. He also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology at UNC-CH where he enjoys educating future periodontists on surgical techniques and dental implantology. Dr. Lewis' main interests include implants, bone regeneration, periodontal plastic surgery, and sedation dentistry. He strives to utilize the most advanced techniques to provide patients with optimal care and treatment outcomes.
