Use of CBCT in Endodontics is a necessary imaging tool that helps find these very obscure canals that we would normally overlook and cause post treatment disease . Heres a case with 5 canals in upper maxillary molar. Note the location of the obscure MB2 canal thats closer to the palatal canal than the mb1 canal. There were two orifices and canals that merge to form the common mb1 canal system. Enjoy !!

A recently restored tooth with full coverage crown developed severe spontaneous throbbing pain. Underlying cause was crack that had progressed to the pulp chamber. Luckily the crack did not extend below the cemento enamel junction onto the root surface so we are hopeful for complete recovery. The root anatomy was challenging

Not all canals are shaped the same. The distal root was shaped with a wider taper but mesial root had to be prepared more conservatively to maintain the all important natural flow of the canal for maximum conservation of root dentin.
