Some offices are built to feel welcoming. Ours came that way. 🏡
Dr. Griffin’s connection to dentistry began early. His father was a pediatric dentist who, after completing his military career, opened a “home-office” attached to the family’s house. Dr. Griffin quite literally grew up in a dental office.
Patients often commented on how peaceful and comfortable that setting felt , less like a traditional office and more like home.
Years later, when Dr. Griffin was searching for a place to open his orthodontic practice in Warrenton, the office spaces he toured just didn’t feel right. They felt too cold and impersonal.
Then, by chance, he met the Ramey family, who owned a boarding house on Broadview Avenue and were preparing to sell it. Dr. Griffin asked if he could take a look, and the moment he walked through the old building, he knew he had found the future home of his orthodontic practice.
The Rameys had one request: that the building not be torn down, and that its character and likeness be preserved. That promise was honored as the boarding house was carefully converted into an orthodontic office and expanded around the original structure.
Even today, we occasionally have visitors who remember living at the Ramey Boarding House when they first came to work in Warrenton, and we love hearing their stories.
For more than 40 years, this special building has been our work “home.” We hope that when you walk through our doors, you feel some of the same comfort, warmth, and sense of home that made Dr. Griffin choose it all those years ago. ❤️
