Meet the machine that helps us solve chronic jaw pain.

Say hello to our CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) scanner! While it looks like a piece of sci-fi technology, it’s actually our most powerful tool for treating TMJ disorders.

When patients come to us with jaw clicking, popping, or daily headaches, standard 2D X-rays just don't give us enough information. This machine allows you to stand comfortably while it takes a quick, 3D digital map of your entire craniofacial structure.

From a single scan, we can see the exact placement of your jaw joints in high-definition 3D—allowing us to pinpoint the root cause of your pain and map out a precise treatment plan to get you relief.

Living with daily jaw pain, clicking joints, or popping is exhausting. But finding a long-lasting fix requires looking past the surface.

When Evelyn came to see us, advanced 3D CT scans revealed that her intense clenching and misaligned bite forces were severely compressing her temporomandibular joints (TMJ).

Instead of messy, traditional analog mouth molds, we used modern intraoral scanners to design a custom orthotic device just for her. This custom appliance safely decompresses the jaw, allowing her overworked head and neck muscles to finally rest and heal.

Now, Evelyn is smiling big and living life completely pain-free!

Don't ignore the warning signs your body is sending you. Head to the link in our bio to read Evelyn's patient profile and learn how our advanced technology can help you conquer jaw pain:

Did you know the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) is the most used joint in your entire body?

It’s true! Whether you are chewing a meal, chatting with friends, or just swallowing, this complex joint is constantly at work.

Connecting your jawbone to your skull, the TMJ is unique because of its incredible range of motion. It doesn’t just open and close; it slides side-to-side and moves forward and backward to help you function.

Because it does so much heavy lifting, it’s important to pay attention to it.

If you ever feel clicking, popping, or soreness, let us know at your next visit!

You can get a full 8 hours and still wake up exhausted. Duration is not the same as quality.

Watch for these signs your sleep may be getting interrupted without you realizing it:
• Morning headaches or dry mouth.
• Dozing off during quiet moments like reading or watching TV.
• Brain fog by midday.
• Irritability or low energy.

You do not have to push through fatigue. These symptoms often point to a treatable sleep issue.

If this sounds familiar, it is time to find the root cause.

Jaw clicking or popping might seem harmless at first — especially if it’s not painful — but here’s why it can be a warning sign:
1. It signals joint dysfunction.
2. It can lead to pain or locking.
3. It may contribute to headaches and tension.
4. It’s often linked to teeth grinding

Bottom line:
Clicking = a red flag, not a random sound.

Getting it checked early can help prevent long-term joint damage and pain—book an appointment today at https://www.michiganheadandneck.com/book-appt/.

Did you know that how well you sleep directly affects your mental health?

Consistently missing out on quality rest can disrupt brain function, increase stress hormones, and make you more vulnerable to depression and anxiety.

The good news: better sleep habits and professional support can make a huge difference. If you’ve been struggling with restless nights and low moods, you don’t have to face it alone.
