🦷✨ A cavity treatment without a drill? For some children, YES!

At Pediatric Smiles of Walpole, our SMART restoration offers a gentle option for select cavities—especially for little ones who aren’t quite ready for a traditional filling. 💙

We apply silver diamine fluoride (SDF) to help stop decay, then place a glass ionomer filling to seal and protect the area while releasing fluoride. In suitable cases, treatment can be completed without drilling or numbing! 🙌

🔎 Parents should know: SDF permanently darkens the decayed part of the tooth. Our dentist will determine whether SMART is right for your child, and follow-up visits are essential to monitor treatment.
