We need 20 volunteers for our community outreach program, we are continuing this program for the tenth year with strict COVID19 prevention protocols. There will be some waiting, to minimize interactions between groups of parents.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH FOR DENTAL CARE. (Volunteers for IV Sedation class will receive a filling, extraction or cleaning for $50. Twenty volunteers needed.)
For the last ten years The Aristotle Institute of the Triad will be hosted in our office, as they provide IV Conscious Sedation training for licensed dentists. A screening appointment is necessary. Dr. Bonnick of Relax Dental is the Course Director, this is the only course of this type in the state of North Carolina. Health Screening starts on September 24, patients must be 13 years of age or older and is of reasonable health. Dental treatments for $50 prepaid, will be administered on Friday and Saturday September 25, 26, and also October 9, 10.

These are only $50 per service with NO INSURANCE REQUIRED! Our trained IV Sedation Dentists will be placing an IV and performing these limited dental services, with no hidden sedation costs! Win-win for dental work. Aristotle Institute of the Triad have a Advanced IV Sedation class for training experienced dentists in IV Sedation. About 50 volunteers taken for those who pass the health screening, with medical clearance if needed. Ages 13 (with parental permission) to adulthood. If you enroll after we have enough volunteers we can put you on the waiting list. Pass the word along.
Do not expect general Anesthesia medications, or narcotic prescriptions. No Insurance or Medicaid filing for this program.

Sponsored by The Aristotle Institute of the Triad, the first IV Sedation Institute located in North Carolina. For the last 10 years experienced dentists have been training to get licensed in IV Conscious Sedation (No General Anesthesia for this course). Sept 26-28, Oct 10-12 in 2019.

This article explains what the MAGD credential I earned means.
MAGD: Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. 2% is what the AGD contends reach this level. 500 CE credits, a rigorous exam, then 600 more credits with hands on in the 13 areas of Dentistry. It’s humbling.

If your dentist is a Fellow or Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD or MAGD), they are the best of the best in the field. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows, and less than 2 percent are AGD Masters. You can rest assured that your dentist cares...

Community service of over $66,000 in dental work was provided to patients who only paid $50 per procedure. The Aristotle Institute of the Triad provided the classes to train train dentists in IV Sedation techniques, our office provided the 20 live patient experiences for each doctor. Our existing patients had first priority to be a part of the program. We acknowledge all the doctors and team who took part.

We would like to thank all our patients, and others who volunteered and paid a small fee to have dental work with experienced professionals from The Aristotle Institute. Doctors and their team get trained by our staff as they do at least 20 cases to complete part of the qualifications for their Sedation permit. Everyone is doing a great job!

The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) has provided guidance on when it may be appropriate to consider antibiotic administration prior to dental procedures in patients with joint replacements.

Patients with Prosthetic Joints may or may not need antibiotics prior to dental treatment.
Consultation between the Orthopedic surgeon, physician and dentist may be necessary based on the current recommendations and emphasizes the need for good dental health prior to and subsequent to a joint replacement.

We came in early and took care of our “early birds” patients. Although it is not heavy snow for those who are used to it, we closed for safety sake. Drive carefully and keep your eyes open for drivers who are not used to these conditions.
