Dear Patients/friends,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I have made the decision to follow the American Dental Association latest announcement on March 16, 2020 to: “postpone elective procedures for the next three weeks. Concentrating on emergency dental care … to our …patients and alleviate the burden that dental emergencies would place on hospital emergency departments.” The Covid-19 virus has brought our nation to enacting strict measures to slow and hopefully stop the spread of this highly contagious virus.
I have decided to close our office as a precaution, and not because we have information that someone has been infected or exposed to the virus. I know in our industry that we are in close personal contact with our patients. I feel that it is in the best interests of both our team/families and our patients if we cease services for the time suggested by the ADA, in order to reduce the risk of exposure for everyone! The Center for Disease Control and the American Dental Association have carefully considered the health of our country and the decision was not an easy one to make, but vital.
Right now, I have decided to CLOSE the office starting tomorrow morning, Wednesday March 18, 2020. I expect to resume regular schedules and services at the end of the three weeks or as soon as possible, as dictated by the CDC/ADA. My office will communicate via email/text/social media as we learn more about the state of condition of the virus and when it is safe to return to the office.
My Goal: I want all of us to be safe and healthy for ourselves, our families and our patients. We must support a healthy team and workplace during a very difficult time in our country. Please contact me personally if you have any questions or concerns. As you know, I am very confident that our dental team, has done a wonderful job ensuring that we have maintained a safe environment for this office. We will work together and get through this time.”
Please continue to pray for me, the office, our families and our country as we forge through these challenges.
Thank you and God Bless Us All,
Dr. Jeff Bauer, DDS
