Dental insurance plans have annual maximums that renew every calendar or fiscal year. Most insurance plans renew annual maximums in January of every year, and some on the month you started and some in the middle of the year.

If you need dental work and haven’t had a lot of it done this year, you need to start it as soon as possible, to make use of your annual allowance before they renew.

If you have some done this year, and others the following year, that will help you split the cost for treatments that exceed your annual maximum.

So visit your dentist now before the year ends! MediCal allows two cleanings per year for kids and adults up to 21 years of age, and once a year for adults above 21 years old. Most private insurance plans will pay for two cleanings a year and some three. Some will have a copay but most insurances will pay 100 percent for cleaning and oral exam. Incentive-based plans also reward plan holders who go see their dentists for cleaning every six months by increasing the percentage of what they pay on the next calendar or fiscal year. Seeing your dentist regularly means you are taking care of your oral hygiene and will lessen spending costs in the long run.

Make this a Christmas present for yourself. Call us now for an appointment at 559 740 0444, and we’d be glad to schedule an appointment for you!
