She is the founder of Chairside Assisting®, publisher of Chairside Assisting® Magazine, and is passionate about providing practical, evidence-based education that helps dental teams elevate patient care, increase efficiency, and embrace the latest clinical innovations. Throughout her career, Shannon has authored more than 300 clinical articles and has received numerous industry honors, including serving as the first auxiliary member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) Board of Directors. She is the recipient of the AACD Rising Star Award, the Lucy Hobbs Award, the Sunstar Butler Achievement Award, Dr. Bicuspid's Dental Assistant Educator of the Year Award, and has been recognized among Dentistry Today's Top 100 Clinicians and Dental Products Report's 25 Most Influential Women in Dentistry.
