4 Things Our Dentist Would Like You To Know!!!💙
Sometimes the little things you do every day can make a big difference in your oral health. Here are a few reminders from our dental team:
🪥 1. “More pressure doesn’t mean a better clean.”
Brushing too hard can wear down enamel and irritate or damage your gums. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and gentle, circular motions for a thorough clean.
🩸 2. “Bleeding gums aren’t something to ignore.”
Occasional gum bleeding can happen when you haven’t been flossing regularly, but persistent bleeding may be a sign of chronic gum inflammation or gingivitis. Consistent brushing and flossing, along with regular dental visits, can help keep your gums healthy.
🦷 3. “A cavity doesn’t always hurt.”
Tooth decay can develop without noticeable symptoms, especially in the early stages. That’s why routine dental exams are important. It allows our dentist to identify dental concerns before they become painful or require more extensive treatment.
🧵 4. “Your toothbrush can’t clean everywhere.”
Plaque and food can build up between teeth where toothbrush bristles can’t reach. Daily flossing or other dentist-recommended interdental cleaners (water-flosser, interdental brushes, etc) can help clean these areas and supports healthier gums.
Taking care of your smile isn’t just about how it looks, it’s all about keeping your teeth and gums healthy for years to come!!!
