Life Changing Makeover!
This patient presented to us with years of neglect due to anxiety about dental treatment. There was severe staining, one hopeless tooth 🦷 requiring extraction, and three teeth in need of a root canal. Teeth with extensive decay required rebuilding and careful re engineering. After a deep cleaning and improved oral hygiene 🪥 the gums improved and provided a healthy foundation to start the full upper arch reconstruction.
Through a digital work flow and facial driven esthetics we were able to design a new stable bite and proper shape of the teeth. This patient slowly after every dental visit was more relaxed and starting to come out of her shell. We were witnessing how her self confidence was improving and years of anxiety were vanishing.
The first time we did a design try in the patient said “I can’t believe I will be able to SMiLE!” She was crying with just her temporaries of how her life would change.
Comprehensive dentistry is about treating the patient and the oral cavity as a whole: focusing on improving gum health, jaw position and harmony between the teeth and someone’s facial features. This creates a system the work seamlessly and provides a natural long lasting look.

Dr. Silviya Ivanova graduated Cum Laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a major in Psychology and Biology, and a minor in Chemistry. She then continued to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Midwestern University in Downers Grove.
As part of her clinical training Dr. Ivanova has become proficient in endodontics, oral surgery, fixed and removable prosthetics, periodontics, cosmetic dentistry, restoring implants and limited orthodontic treatment. She treats each patient with compassion and is a strong believer that patient education is key in attaining optimal oral health. Following her belief in giving back to the community Dr. Ivanova has participated in dental mission trips to serve those in need and promote oral health care.
Throughout the course of her dental education Dr. Ivanova has consistently pursued additional courses through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the Chicago Dental Society (CDS), the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) and the Illinois State Dental Association (ISDS) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Dr. Ivanova grew up in Chicago and in her free time she enjoys, traveling, exploring the Chicago neighborhoods, and spending time with her loved ones.
