We had some fun over the weekend seeing beautiful flamingos and did you know these fun flamingo facts? your kids will love them🦩🦷

Fact #1:
Flamingos use their beaks upside down to filter food out of the water like a built-in strainer 😄
Flamingos strain their food to keep the good stuff…
• The Tooth Truth: your toothbrush does the same for your teeth 🪥
It sweeps away all the ‘yucky stuff’ (plaque) so only clean, happy smiles stay behind 😁🦷

Fact #2:
Why Are They Pink? 🦩
Flamingos are born gray. They turn pink because of the "carotenoids" (pigments) in the food they strain through their beaks.

• The Fact: If they don't eat the right food, their feathers can turn white or dull.
• The Tooth Truth: Just like a flamingo’s food changes its color, the food we eat affects our teeth. Crunchy veggies and water help keep our smiles bright, while too much sugar can make them "sad" and cavity prone!
