Hi everyone! We continue to hope that you all are doing well. At the current time we are extending our closure at least through April 13, but please be aware that our return to normal operation is a moving target. We will continue to keep you updated on changes as we determine how to serve our patients best. If you need us, please call the office as we are checking messages routinely and have information available on our answering machine should you encounter a dental emergency. We ask for your patience as we navigate this challenging time! Thanks for sticking with us!

Dear Patients,

Due to the escalation in the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to close the office for a couple weeks. The health and safety of our patients and staff remains our top priority. While we have increased our infection-control precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our office, we feel that as healthcare professionals, it is our responsibility to encourage our patients to stay home and away from crowded or public spaces during this critical time. We hope that by closing the office, we can help reduce the risk of infection.

We are still available for dental emergencies only. If you are having a dental emergency, or you have any urgent questions or concerns, please call us at 860-871-2618. We will be closed from Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 until Monday, March 30th, 2020.

As always, we are closely monitoring the situation and the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control, the CT Department of Public Health, the American Dental Association, and the State and Federal Government. We will update you with any changes.

We thank all of you for your continued patience and support throughout this ever-changing situation. We hope you all stay healthy and safe during this difficult time, and remind everyone to wash your hands frequently.

Thanks to all who supported Dr. Simms and his participation in the Vernon Parks and Recreation’s Arctic Splash event. Thanks to all of you, several children will get to attend summer camp next year free of charge. It was a chilly day at Valley Falls, and he DID go all the way under, but my cold fingers were too slow to capture his speedy dive!

Hope everyone is enjoying this sudden cold snap!! As you are all bundling up to keep warm, our very own Dr. Simms is getting ready to take the plunge into the frigid waters at Valley Falls on December 7. The Vernon Parks & Recreation Department is again hosting their Arctic Splash event to raise funds to cover the cost of summer camp for local children. Through your generous financial donations, last year we were able to send 10 children to summer camp. Please consider dropping off a donation at the office to support Dr. Simms again this year as he gets ready to make a splash!!

We wanted to take a moment to offer our CONGRATULATIONS to our hygienist Megan and her husband Kenny on the arrival of their first child, daughter Hadlee May. We all know Meg to be one feisty woman, and her little girl is already following in her footsteps! This little blessing wasn't due to arrive until January 8, 2020, but made her appearance on Friday, October 25!!! She weighed in at 3lbs 6oz and measured 15 1/2 inches. Hadlee is an active little fighter, doing well with all her vitals and already starting to gain weight! Please join us in wishing the entire family well as they transition from "happy couple" to "family of 3"!! (Our office staff is working hard to have limited interruption in our schedules, but we hope you will be patient over the next couple of months as you may see some new faces in the office helping us to manage this unexpected, unpredictable surprise.)
