Misconception about bleeding gums is "I floss daily but it still bleeds so I stopped flossing." Do not stop. Bleeding gums is a sympton of Periodontal (gum) disease. Seek the advise of a Dentist.

Research has shown that P. Gingivalis (Porphyramona Gingivalis) the bacteria found in gum disease, is also found in brains of people with Alheizmer's Disease. More research is being done to determine the relation of Gum Disease and Alheizmer's.
