Big shoes to fill. 🤍

My grandpa has always been my inspiration and mentor, and I’m so grateful to have him to look up to both in orthodontics and in life. Thank you for everything you’ve taught me and for the legacy you’ve created.

Celebrating you all month long! Happy birth month, Grandpa! 🦷🤍

Summer’s almost over… but there’s still plenty to smile about

Enjoy those last few summer days! We LOVE walking over to cool off at South Swell Ice Cream during these hot days. We’re so lucky to be just a short walk away from a sweet treat!

Day 7 in Seoul and honestly I’m still processing everything.

This week at Yonsei University has been unlike any CE I’ve ever attended. The faculty are an international group of orthodontists, periodontists and prosthodontists from Korea, the US and beyond, each truly at the top of their specialty. The level of clinical discussion happening in these rooms is something I know I’ll be drawing from for years.

The theme woven through everything this week has quietly shifted how I think, and I want to share it because it directly shows up in the care I provide. Orthodontics isn’t about moving teeth in isolation. It’s about the whole face. The jaw. The airway. How you breathe, how you bite, how everything works together. When treatment is planned with that full picture in mind, the results are more lasting and more specific to you as a person.

Today we head into the K-POP Conference, which stands for Perio-Ortho-Prostho. Hundreds of specialists in one room presenting the most complex multidisciplinary cases, the kind where a periodontist, orthodontist and prosthodontist have to work together in sequence to get a result none of them could achieve alone. It’s the kind of collaboration I genuinely love.
