Delta College Dental Clinic Services are provided by dental hygiene students under the supervision of a dentist and registered dental hygienists.

Services Provided:
Cleanings, X-rays, Sealants, Oral Cancer Screens, To***co Cessation Education, Fluoride Treatments, Nutritional Counseling, Oral Hygiene Instruction, Athletic Mouth Guards, and Whitening Treatments. Prior to seeing patients in the clinic, students complete approximately 20 weeks of education and clinical practice. Our patients that are accepted into the dental hygiene clinic off

er a variety of learning experiences for our students. Because our clinic is first and foremost a teaching institution, our patients are required to make a commitment to attend a number of 2-hour appointments. In return, our patients receive outstanding dental hygiene care at a very reasonable fee. Patients receive a copy of their dental radiographs and documentation of treatment that was performed at our clinic. We advise our patients to schedule an appointment with their own dentist after their dental hygiene care is completed at Delta College.

We are looking for a Dental Clinic Operations Specialist (DCOS) to join our team! This role is essential to supporting student success, patient care, community outreach, clinic operations, and maintaining CODA, HIPAA, and OSHA compliance within our dental clinic.

This position is perfect for someone who:
✔️ Thrives in a fast-paced environment
✔️ Enjoys working with students and patients
✔️ Has strong organizational and communication skills
✔️ Values teamwork, professionalism, and community engagement
✔️ Has dental experience or RDH/RDA background (preferred)

In this role, you’ll help coordinate clinic operations, support dental hygiene and dental assisting students, manage patient communication and scheduling, oversee equipment and inventory, and play a key role in community outreach and patient recruitment.

Requirements:
🔹 RDH with a Bachelor's degree or a licensed dentist with at least 2 years of full-time experience
🔹 Availability on Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday afternoons, or Thursday mornings (the course is currently scheduled on Tuesdays but can be adjusted to fit the right candidate)
🔹 A background in Dental Community Health is a plus!

**A Registered Dental Assistant is known as an RDA.
**Delta is 1 of only 6 RDA programs in Michigan.
**RDAs are trained in expanded functions that unlicensed DAs can't do.
