That 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 is more than an adorable grin. It’s THE sign it’s time for your baby’s first dental visit. Yes, really! Here’s why.
As a pediatric dentist, I’m checking so much more than just teeth. I’m also checking:
💀 How their jaws and bite are developing
🦷 Tooth spacing and alignment
👅 Where their tongue sits and how it’s moving
🫶 How their palate is forming
I’m also checking in with parents to answer their questions about 👶pacifier use, 🍲introducing solids, 🪥brushing and flossing tips and tricks, 🧪fluoride, 😴baby’s sleep quality, and so much more.
And finally, and just as important as everything else, I’m teaching baby that dental visits aren’t scary.
These early, stress-free visits set the tone for every visit that follows, and establishes a dental home in the event of a dental emergency.
