We commonly take out failed root canals just like this. A 3D cone beam is necessary to see the extent of some of these infections. Infection in your jawbone is just as serious as an infection in your legbone. Imagine having this same size infection in your femur. What would your surgeon recommend? Get it out! This has access to your bloodstream and the associated bacteria can travel through your whole body. There are researched backed serious health complications that can be linked to dental infections.

Front four were abscessed with previous root canals (color me surprised). Pulled teeth and bridged canine to canine. we had to bring down the teeth to relieve all anterior contact. Now patient does not have a constant source of infection and we did it with style. Great job, again, IDA!

We place traditional titanium implants as well as zirconia (ceramic). We placed this zirconia implant today and performed a sinus lift: adding extra bone at the time of implant placement when there is inadequate natural bone. In 6 months we will revisit the site and restore the implant with a beautiful zirconia crown. Not a molecule of metal involved 😁

Front four. Beautiful work ! All IDPCs and NO ROOT CANALS. We have plans to crown the canines in the future, but I love, love love how beautiful full zirconia has become!
