Trick-or-treat season is here, but not all candies are created equal when it comes to your smile! Here's your quick guide from Contemporary Dental Arts:

✅BEST (Tooth-Friendly Treats!)
🍫 Dark Chocolate – Melts fast, less sticky
🍬 Sugar-Free Gum – Chewing boosts saliva!
🍭Sugar-Free Mints/Candy Canes

❌WORST (The Cavity Creepers!)
🍮 Caramels – Sticky monsters that cling to your teeth!
🐻Gummies – Chewy vampires sucking the life outta your enamel!
🍬 Hard Candies – Sugar marathons that last way too long!
😝Sour candies - super acidic = enamel enemy #1

Pro Tip: Drink water after treats, brush like a boss, and keep those pearly whites sparkling!

The Legend is retiring! Shellye has been the face and heart of our front office for 13 1/2 years. She is “retiring” from dental to take care of her family full time. We will miss her, but look forward to hearing stories about her next adventure! ❤️
