Electric cars landed on the floss or toss list, and the timing was pretty convenient considering one of us had just bought one.

The verdict was less about saving the planet and more about saving money on gas, with a strong case made for plug-in hybrids and full self-driving.

Basically, we are still deciding whether electric cars are the future or just a very expensive way to avoid the gas station.
