PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Over the last couple of weeks, I've had several people come up to me and tell me they had heard through the grapevine that I'm retiring. Well, I hate to disappoint you, but I love my patients and my profession too much to retire. I want to keep doing this as long as I possibly can and am able to!! I feel that after 40 years of practice, I'm just getting started! Dr. Stevens and Dr. Dean have been great role models to me in this regard!

On a related note, people have asked me if Diane is no longer working here. While she's much younger than I am (3 months) and has only worked here 33 years, I have told her that I won't allow her to retire until I do! That said- she's not working as much as she used to and is able to spend more time with her family, which is well-deserved. She'll always be an important part of our family and she can't leave until I do!

So sorry everyone- you're stuck with me for a while yet!! 😎

Dr. Ritchey had the honor of giving a talk about teeth to his grandkids' school in Dallas this past Monday for Children's Dental Health Month. We talked about how to take care of your teeth and what a dental appointment is like. Violet was an adorable volunteer and helped the demonstation! 🥰

Well, it’s been a good run. I know when I’ve met my match. After 40 years of practice, it was only a matter of time before technology made me obsolete. Starting on March 1st, all my patients will be seeing the Tooth-O-Matic 5000 (but it prefers to be called Dr. Beep Beep Boop Boop.) I’m sure you will be in good hands (or claws or whatever.)
