That sore that’s been there for two weeks? Don’t talk yourself out of getting it checked.

Most things turn out to be nothing. A canker sore, minor irritation, a harmless cyst but the only way to know is to have it evaluated, and early detection in oral pathology can make all the difference.

Here’s what we look for, what it could mean, and exactly what happens when you come in.

The first 72 hours are so much easier when everything is already set up and waiting.

Here’s what to have ready:

✔️ Ice packs (at least 2)- alternate every 20 minutes for the first 48 hours. Gel packs that wrap around the jaw work best.
✔️ A soft food stash - applesauce, yogurt, pudding, mashed potatoes, protein shakes. Stock more than you think you need.
✔️ Shows downloaded and devices charged - set up their space before you leave. They’ll thank you.
✔️ Our number saved in your phone - you’ll have direct access to our team. Any question, any time.
