Ever wonder why some implants last longer than others? A lot of it comes down to your gums.

Everyone’s gum tissue is different: some thinner, some thicker, but for an implant to hold up long-term, thicker gums around it make a big difference.

That’s what gum grafting does. It’s a simple procedure where we add tissue to build up the gums around your implant site, so it has a strong foundation to last.

If it’s part of your treatment plan, that’s a good sign. We’re setting you up to get the most out of your implant.

If you’ve heard that before, we get why you’d stop looking into implants altogether, but that answer is only accurate with the full picture.

Bone loss after a missing tooth is common. It happens to almost everyone who’s had a tooth extracted. On its own, it doesn’t mean the door is closed.

What actually tells us what’s possible is a 3D CBCT scan, not a quick look or a general estimate. It shows exactly how much bone is there and what you’d need to move forward, including whether a bone graft could rebuild a stable foundation for an implant.

We’ve had patients sit in our chair after being told “no” somewhere else, and walk out with a real plan.
