Some foods and drinks can actually help your mouth recover from acidity.

Your teeth aren’t affected by pH alone. Saliva, calcium, phosphates, protein, fiber, hydration, and how often you eat or drink all play a role in helping protect enamel.

* Unsalted nuts
* Lower-acid fruits
* Unsweetened green tea

One simple strategy: if you do have something acidic, pair it with water or a calcium-rich food and give your mouth time to recover before brushing.

For this case, we used composite veneers to improve the shape, symmetry, and overall appearance of the front teeth with a conservative, additive approach.

Rather than aggressively removing healthy tooth structure, composite allows us to carefully add material where it is needed to improve proportions and create a more balanced smile.

The entire procedure was completed the same day, and the goal was simple: make the smile look healthier, more harmonious, and natural—not overdone.

This type of treatment can be a great option for certain patients with worn, chipped, uneven, or misshapen teeth who want to improve their smile while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible.

What you drink matters—but it’s not just about sugar.

When it comes to protecting your teeth, the biggest risk often comes from the combination of acidity, sugar, how often you sip, and how long the drink stays in contact with your teeth.

Energy drinks, sports drinks, soda, and citrus beverages can create a highly acidic environment that increases the risk of enamel erosion, sensitivity, and decay—especially when they’re consumed slowly throughout the day.

A few simple ways to reduce the damage:

* Limit how often you sip acidic or sugary drinks
* Try to drink them with a meal rather than all day
* Rinse with water afterward
* Wait about 30 minutes before brushing after acidic drinks
* Choose water more often when you can

Dr. Jim Clark, Dr. Gregory Gullikson, and Dr. Jesse LeBrecht — three generations of dentists who have had the privilege of owning and caring for the same dental practice here in Titusville.

One of the things I appreciate most about taking over this practice is realizing that I’m not starting something new. I’m carrying forward something that two great dentists spent decades building before me.

Dr. Clark and Dr. Gullikson built this practice on relationships, trust, quality dentistry, and taking care of people the right way. Those are values I have a tremendous amount of respect for, and they are values I intend to continue.

What makes it even more special is how many of our patients have been here through all three of us. Some families have trusted this practice for decades and across multiple generations of their own families. I don’t take that loyalty lightly.

To those patients: thank you. Thank you for continuing to trust us with your care and for allowing me the opportunity to be the next steward of a practice that has meant so much to this community.

My goal isn’t simply to preserve what Dr. Clark and Dr. Gullikson built. It’s to continue building on it — maintaining the personal relationships and values that made this practice special while continuing to advance the level of comprehensive dentistry we can provide.
