🦷 What are those bumps on my child’s teeth?

💫 You may notice "bumps" on the edge of your child's adult teeth once they grow in. These bumps or ridges are called Mamelons. Mamelons help the permanent teeth break through the gum tissue and flatten out over time through natural wear and tear. 💜

❗️Seltzer can be a major contributor to enamel loss and tooth decay.

🫧 When carbon dioxide is pumped into water, it turns into carbonic acid, which reduces the pH of the water and makes it acidic.

🦷 Acid breaks down the enamel, which is the
strongest layer of the tooth, over time.

🥤 Soda drinks have an even lower pH than seltzer!

💦 Water is good for your oral health and overall health! It keeps you hydrated and helps neutralize the pH in your mouth! 😁💜
