🌟 Staff Spotlight: Jennifer Ortiz 🌟

Meet Jennifer, our Program Manager for Outreach & Education! She joined All Smiles as a Care Coordinator in March 2024 and was promoted in November. Jennifer is passionate about community health and helping families access the care and services they need.

A proud Oregonian, she loves spending time outdoors—especially running and hiking—and being with family and friends. We’re so grateful for all the work she does to connect families with our program!

🌸 April is here, time for fresh starts and healthy smiles!

Our school-based dental program is continuing services this month to help students stay healthy, confident, and ready to learn. Preventive care like fluoride, sealants, and screenings can make a big difference!

If you see your student’s school on the schedule and haven’t signed them up yet, there’s still time! Families can register up until the last day we are at school providing services. Be sure to complete the registration using the link below, or by turning in a paper form at the schools main office!

Meet Liz Wyles, our Senior Director of Operations at All Smiles! Liz brings years of leadership experience in business, project management, and over 20 years in higher education. She studied at The Ohio State University and University of Dayton, building a strong foundation for her impressive career.

When she’s not keeping operations running smoothly, Liz loves exploring new hiking trails in Oregon, reading a great book, and spending quality time with family and friends. We’re so grateful to have her on the All Smiles team! 💙

Dental Assistant (On Call/Part-Time) – $25/hr | Spanish Speaking Preferred

Join All Smiles Community Oral Health, a nonprofit dedicated to improving children’s health and academic success by providing preventive oral health services in Portland-area schools. As a Dental Assistant, you’ll work alongside Expanded Practice Dental Hygienists to deliver screenings, preventive care, and support to children and families who may not otherwise have access to dental services.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist with dental screenings, sealant application, and care coordination in schools
- Set up and transport portable dental equipment and supplies
- Maintain high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with a supportive, mission-driven team

What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in dental settings preferred
- Spanish proficiency a plus
- Ability to work independently and travel within the Portland Metro area
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation

Benefits:
- $25 per hour
- Paid sick days, vacation time, and employee assistance program

"I am a recent graduate of Concorde College Careers for the dental assisting program. My passion for dentistry stems from a genuine desire to help others. Along the way, I’m also focused on growing as an individual and embracing new challenges that shape me both professionally and personally. One of my lifelong goals is to travel abroad to provide dental care and educate in places where resources are limited. Some things I like to do in my free time are explore the outdoors and exercise.
