This patient had very pretty teeth to begin with, but chipped a front tooth many years ago and it has bothered her.

We did some gum re-contouring and placed 6 minimal prep veneers to give her the fuller smile she wanted. And the peace of mind to not worry about bonding coming off the chipped tooth anymore!

When it comes to veneers, they can absolutely be done safely and minimally invasive. But for me as a dentist, this has to be something YOU want and ask about. Your dentist should never be “talking you into” a cosmetic procedure⚠️.

She wasn’t ready to replace the veneers on top, so we built up all her bottom teeth to restore a functional bite and create more youthful dimensions for the whole face!

“Do you have to take an x-ray?”

This is a question we get from patients. You go to the dentist for 2 reasons…

1: Something hurts (emergency)
2: Routine preventative (cleanings)

When you come for this☝️, we can’t see everything we need to just by looking in your mouth. Without x-rays we can not see the following:

Infection in the root of the tooth
Cavities between the teeth
Bone Loss/Periodontal disease
Oral cancer/cysts in your bone

You can’t avoid x-rays if you want to stay healthy. The good news is that we have the modern digital x-ray system that has low levels of radiation to keep you SAFE.
