To the Enchanted Forest Pediatric Dentistry Family,
We hope you and your family are in good health. Dr. Rojas and her staff are very happy to finally resume regular dental services. Over the last few weeks many things have changed but not Dr. Rojas’ affection and commitment to your children.
To ensure your family’s safety when visiting our office we have strengthened our safety and infection control standards to exceed the recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The successful implementation of these standards will not only protect your child but also ensure the protection of our most valuable asset: our amazing staff.
Over the next few weeks, we will be seeing approximately 25% to 30% of our usual patients to ensure appropriate social distancing. This percent will increase as the reopening process successfully moves forward.
Safety procedures that we will follow include, among others:
- Asking your child to rinse his/her mouth prior to any procedure with a Colgate rinse that disinfects and reduces the quantity of active germs in the mouth.
- Staff that perform dental procedures that produce droplets and aerosols within your child’s arm length (all operatory procedures, cleanings, etc.) will utilize fully encapsulating respiratory protection. This will ensure that there is no potential contagion between our patients and our staff- We will disinfect all surfaces utilizing EPA approved cleaners after every procedure or hourly, whichever is less.
- The entire office will be disinfected with a fogged chlorine-based cleaner, also EPA approved, a minimum of three times a day to ensure any lingering pathogens are eradicated.
On the administrative side:
- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some COVID-19 screening questions, please reply!! You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office!!.
- We will be taking your child’s temperature and that of their accompanying guarding before entering the office to ensure good health. We do this with all our staff twice a day!!
We ask you:
- For your patience and cooperation as these changes might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment at this early stage!!
- To please minimize the number of people accompanying your child to the office. One adult per family if at all possible!!
- To please wear a face covering to the office.
As you can see, lots of changes!! We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. We will be sending you reminders of upcoming appointments for confirmation.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming all of you back!!
Sincerely,Dr. Luz Maria Rojas and Staff
