Tooth luxation is a condition that occurs as a result of physical trauma, such as a fall, which disrupts the tissues, ligaments, and bone that hold a tooth in place. This can also affect the tooth's nerves and blood supply. A luxated tooth may appear loose, angled, or displaced from the socket, but sometimes there may be no visible signs, and it can only feel tender. While tooth luxation can affect anyone, it is most commonly seen in children and young adults. It is important to seek dental attention promptly if you suspect a luxated tooth, as immediate treatment may be necessary depending on the severity of the injury.

Oral Mucocele refers to a type of cyst that forms inside the mouth, filled with harmless mucus. These cysts appear as smooth, round lesions and are usually painless. Oral Mucoceles are most commonly caused by trauma such as accidentally biting the inside of your mouth. While these cysts typically disappear on their own and don't require treatment, larger cysts or those causing discomfort can be removed by a medical professional.

Thanks to technological advancements, today's digital X-rays emit significantly less radiation and are safer than earlier versions.

During your first dental exam after a long period without dental care, expect to have X-rays taken to assess the condition of your teeth and gums. If you have gum disease, your dentist may recommend X-rays every six months. Otherwise, regular check-ups may include X-rays every two years, depending on your dentist's plan.

Children typically require more X-rays than adults due to changes in their teeth and a higher risk of developing cavities.
