PLEASE READ:
In light of recent events, we wanted to reach out to our patients to reassure you that we are taking precautions regarding coronavirus (COVID-19)
Our office’s infection and disease control measures, sterilization procedures, and staff training therein meet or exceed the CDC’s recommendations. These measures help prevent risks of spreading this and all viruses throughout our office. However, with the increased cases of COVID-19 in Massachusetts/Boston-Metro area, as well as the uncertain and constantly evolving situation domestically and globally, we are taking precautions to help further ensure the safety of our patients, staff, and community.
We have hand sanitizer at your disposal. Please do not hesitate to clean your hands often with the hand sanitizer or with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds.
We removed temporarily our very popular magazines from the waiting area to prevent any cross-contamination. (We promise we will put them back as soon as we can). In the meantime, you can enjoy the TV or our WIFI
We will be disinfecting multiple times throughout the day all common non clinical areas that are frequently touched in the office: door k***s, counter tops, water dispenser (between each patient). But still, we recommend that you wash or sanitize your hands as often as possible.
If you…
• are experiencing flu like symptoms – including a fever, persistent cough, and/or vomiting/nausea; and/or
• have traveled to a country with increased risks and occurrences of COVID-19 - these countries currently include China, Iran, Italy, Japan, and South Korea; and/or
• have, in the last 14 days, had contact with anyone that has travelled to any of the aforementioned countries within the last month; and/or
• have, in the last 14 days, had contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 or you otherwise believe to have been exposed to the virus;
…we ask that you please call and cancel your appointment.
If you do call to cancel your appointment we will do our best to get you rescheduled as soon after the recommended 14-day waiting period has passed. Currently, the safety of everyone is paramount to convenient timing for appointments. Our office typically books our dental hygiene appointments six-months in advance so we will do our best to get you in as soon as we can. Our office may also take further precautions as the situation progresses. This could include stricter guidelines for patient rescheduling or closing the office for an indeterminate amount of time. We will make our best effort to inform you with adequate notice should these occur.
We hope, like all of you, this outbreak will end soon.
We want to reassure you we are doing all we can to keep our community, our patients and our team members safe and healthy.
Respectfully,
Tewksbury Family Dental
