Fun Facts:
The average person produces over 25,000 quarts of saliva in their lifetime....that is enough to fill two, yes two swimming pools.

Ever notice if you eat something directly out of the bowl but don’t finish it and return later there is liquid in the bowl or plate, the saliva from your utensil has already started the digestion process! Yuck!!

Saliva is very beneficial, it is where initial digestion begins, it bathes our teeth and aids in prevention of cavities by attempting to neutralize acids from foods and drinks. Several contributing factors can cause a reduction in saliva, age, medications and chemotherapy. There rinses and lozenges to help stimulate salivary glands to produce more saliva, to aid in prevention of cavities.
