A Reason to Smile: Saving a 90-Year-Old Patient's Denture (and His Sanity!) 🍰
We love what we do, but days like today make it extra special.
A wonderful 90-year-old patient came to our office completely frustrated. For six months, he and his daughter had been struggling with his ill-fitting overdenture.
Other offices in town charged him high consultation fees just to look at it, plus extra for replacement gaskets—and it still didn't fit. To make matters worse, they suggested he buy an entirely new denture.
At 90 years young, getting a brand-new denture means a lot of demanding appointments and transitions. Dr. Pham wanted to find a simpler, more patient-centered solution first.
After reviewing the case, Dr. Pham discovered a simple issue: the previously replaced gaskets were the wrong size! Instead of pushing for an expensive, time-consuming new denture, we simply ordered the correct gasket sizes and replaced them. The result? His current denture now fits like brand new!
Today, he and his daughter stopped by the office to deliver Dr. Pham a delicious homemade cheesecake to say thank you. We are so incredibly grateful for our amazing patients and glad we could resolve a 6-month headache with a simple, honest fix.
