Office of Dr. Dave Cutts, DDS

Office of Dr. Dave Cutts, DDS Dr. Cutts opened his doors in January of 1984 and within six months was busy five days a week.

Dr. Cutts offers comprehensive dentistry, from dental implants, root-canal therapy, extraction care, dentures, routine check-up + cleanings and has more than 41 years of experience performing hundreds of implant cases and over 10,000 sedation cases. Established in 1984

Dr. Cutts and his wife Debby discovered the Temecula Valley (Rancho California as it was known then) after a rainy drive through

the mountains from Palm Desert to San Diego, on their honeymoon in March of 1982. At that time, he was the fourth dentist in Temecula and today has the longest-established practice in Temecula at 28 years. From the very beginning Dr. Cutts offered the only surgery and sedation based dentistry available, without a drive to Riverside, Hemet or Escondido. Soon families throughout the valley were bringing their children to him because of his legendary approach with them- (which was)
gain their respect and trust by treating them like "grown-ups"! Today, Dr. Cutts operates Southwest Riverside County's top Adult Dentistry Center specializing in cosmetic and implant restoration of adults over the age of 50 with complex dental problems. Come visit Dr. Cutts to replace your dentures for permanent teeth.

A lot of dental relationships end the moment treatment does.

At the Center for Adult Dentistry, that's where the relationship is just getting started.

The same doctor who evaluates your case is the one who treats it, start to finish. No referrals out, no handoffs to someone who's never met you.

Months later, if something isn't right, Dr. Cutts and the team are the ones who make it right.

That's what long-term care actually means here: the same standard, for as long as you're a patient.

Most people think a denture problem means something's wrong with their teeth.

But often, the problem comes down to the fit.

A denture that slips when you laugh, clicks when you talk, or needs a dab of adhesive just to get through dinner isn't a small annoyance to manage around.

It's a sign the fit was never quite right to begin with.

Most crown appointments follow the same pattern.

An impression is taken and a crown comes back weeks later. It gets seated, checked once, and adjusted a little if something feels off. Then the appointment ends.

That single check is often the whole fitting process.

Dr. Cutts treats fit differently.

Bite, contour, and how the crown meets the opposing tooth are checked, rechecked, and refined until they're actually right, not until they're close enough. Forty-plus years of doing this the same way, case after case, is what makes that standard possible.

A crown that fits properly should be something you forget about.

Three cosmetic options adults over 55 should understand before assuming any of them aren't for them.

Veneers, bonding, and professional whitening are often treated as variations of the same thing. They aren't.

Each one works differently, addresses a different clinical problem, and has a specific place in a treatment plan.

1) Veneers are a permanent, precision restoration. A thin layer of enamel is removed before placement, which means the fabrication quality matters enormously and the decision isn't reversible. For teeth that have thinned, lost length, or carry deep discoloration that whitening can't reach, they're often the most complete solution.

2) Bonding is a conservative, chairside option with minimal enamel removal, completed in one appointment. It works well for minor chips and surface irregularities, but it's more technique-sensitive than porcelain and requires refinishing over time.

3) Whitening works on natural enamel only, and it has to happen before any restorative work is placed, because existing crowns or veneers won't shift shade to match. Getting the sequence wrong can mean new restorations that don't align with whitened teeth.

The right option, and the right order, depends on what's happening with your teeth. Understand that before any decisions are made.

Wanting to feel good about your smile after 55 isn't vanity. It's quality of life.

There's a misconception that cosmetic dental work is something you prioritize in your 30s and 40s, and that at a certain point, you've forfeited the right to care about how your smile looks.

That belief keeps a lot of people from asking questions they deserve answers to.

The reality is that the patients most likely to benefit from cosmetic work are adults who've spent decades accumulating the effects of aging on their teeth.

Discoloration that doesn't respond to over-the-counter products, chipping at the edges of front teeth that's become more noticeable, or worn surfaces that have changed the shape of the smile in ways that look older than the person wearing them.

Cosmetic dentistry in the right hands isn't about chasing a different face. It's about restoring what was there: the confidence to smile in a photo, to laugh across a dinner table, to stop thinking about your teeth in the moments when your full attention should be somewhere else.

That goal is worth taking seriously at any age.

Before you go into oral surgery, it helps to understand what comes next.

For many patients, the surgery is just the step that prepares the mouth for what follows.

➤ A tooth may need to be removed before an implant can be placed.

➤ Bone may need to be rebuilt before it can support a restoration.

That's not a complication. It's the plan working the way it's supposed to.

Knowing that going in makes the process a lot easier to get through.
