When Can Parents Expect Baby Teeth? 💭
🦷The process of growing teeth begins in week six of pregnancy and continues after the teeth have begun erupting because the roots still have some growing to do.
🦷Babies typically grow their teeth in "pairs". Starting with the bottom two somewhere between ages 6-10 months. The next teeth to grow are usually the top front two between 8-12 months.
🦷After that, you can expect to see molar growth, bottom then top. Then canines followed by the second set of molars around age 3.
🦷Don't worry if your kiddo is a bit delayed, but by 18 months there still are no teeth give us a call!
🦷Brush your child's teeth 2x daily even when they are brand new to start healthy habits.
🦷Bring your kiddo into the dentist by age 1 or six months after their first tooth comes in. Whichever comes first.
