When can kids start brushing their teeth all by themselves? 🪥
Learning to brush independently is an important step, but getting every tooth clean takes practice and coordination!
Letting your child brush first can help them build confidence and good habits. Then, a parent can step in to help make sure those easy-to-miss spots, especially the back teeth and along the gum line, get some attention too.
Every child is different, so rather than rushing into completely independent brushing, focus on how thoroughly they’re able to clean their teeth on their own.
And when in doubt, ask us at their next visit!
