Abdoney Periodontics and Implant Dentistry is an established periodontal office in South Tampa. We are looking for a self-driven and reliable individual who takes pride in their job to join our close knit practice as a surgical dental assistant. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and works well with others.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Taking X-rays, CT scans, Diagnostic photos, Lab work
Assisting in exam with notes, charting and surgical procedures with the doctor.
Proper sterilization of instruments, and surface disinfection.
Setup/breakdown surgical rooms.

Qualifications and Skills
Completed a dental assisting program
Dental experience is a plus
Excellent computer skills including efficient typing.
Dentrix and Dexis knowledge is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be flexible, trainable and eager to continue learning.

Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm

Janice grew up in Miami and then headed for Gainesville where she obtained a degree in Dental Hygiene at Santa Fe. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 1986 and has worked with the Abdoney Periodontics team since 2007. Janice enjoys gardening, traveling, the outdoors, and classic movies. She has been married to her handsome hubby, Lenny, since 1992 and together they have a son, Zachary, and a cute little pug named Mack.
