Are dental X-rays safe? Short answer: Yes 🦷

A single dental X-ray has only slightly more radiation than a banana (yes, really 🍌). Bananas naturally contain potassium, which gives off a tiny amount of radiation, that’s called background radiation, and we’re exposed to small amounts of it every day.

Even a full set of dental X-rays exposes you to less radiation than a flight from New York to Los Angeles ✈️
