When you think of an endodontist, you probably think of root canals. But there’s much more to endodontic care than that. 🦷

Endodontists are specialists in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the inside of the tooth and the tissues surrounding its roots. From hard-to-diagnose tooth pain and dental injuries to complex infections and teeth that need additional treatment, our expertise goes beyond a single procedure.

Did you know one of the simplest things you can do to help prevent the need for a root canal is brushing your teeth correctly?

It may seem simple, but proper brushing plays an important role in removing plaque and bacteria that can contribute to tooth decay and gum disease. Left untreated, decay can progress deep into a tooth and eventually affect the pulp, potentially leading to the need for root canal treatment.

Make sure you’re brushing twice a day for two minutes, using fluoride toothpaste, and taking the time to clean all surfaces of your teeth, including along the gumline! A few minutes of proper brushing each day can help protect your natural teeth for years to come.
