April is Oral Cancer Awareness month. We would like to take this time to remind all of our patients to get their oral cancer screenings every 6-12 months with their general dentist and keep an eye out for anything unusual in your oral cavity. Notify your dentist or oral surgeon immediately if you have a lesion that has been present for more than 14 days.

We are very proud to congratulate our very own, Dr.Barrett R.Tolley, who was among 1,993 initiated into The American College of Surgeons. The total in attendance to the esteemed ceremony included 12,372, of those 8,598 were physicians. The American College of Surgeons is an organization that is a scientific and educational based organization founded in 1913 as a way to raise the standards of surgical practice and also to improve the quality of care for the surgical patient. To be considered as an applicant is an esteemed right and is not awarded lightly. Dr.Tolley's hard work ,dedication and passion led to the approval for his initiation.

Dr.Barrett R.Tolley received his doctorate in 2002 from the University of Maryland; Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He is also Board certified from The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery which he received in 2009 and he holds a strong,professional interest in maxillofacial trauma,reconstructions and implantology. We as a staff here at OFSC, are very lucky and proud to work alongside him.
