This is a non-carious (cavity free) abfraction lesion – a wedge-shaped notch near the gumline of a tooth. It is caused by grinding forces typically in the presence of acid. Treatment often involves addressing the occlusal stress with a Nightguard, and restoring the defect with a resin-based composite and reinforcing proper brushing habits.

If You Skip Flossing, You Miss Cleaning 40% of Your Teeth
To protect your smile, you should floss at least once a day. For tightly spaced teeth, use waxed floss, and for larger gaps, use dental tape. Also, talk with us about options like interdental tools or a Waterpik if you have dental restorations or wear braces.

Our infection control and sterilization has always followed WISHA and CDC protocol. The biggest changes you'll see here are patient screening, social distancing and schedule modifications.

We have increased the number of rooms each provider works from and limited the number of patients specifically.

We are preforming a phone prescreening questioner prior to arrival and only healthy patients will be allowed in our office. Once seated in the treatment room, temperatures will be takes and a rescreening will be done.

We have increased staff to disinfect door handles, stair rails, bathrooms, elevator buttons, and chairs.

Each staff member will preform temperature screening and health wellness assessment on them selves and log those results.
