Dr. Eric Weinstein, D.D.S: Restorative & Cosmetic Dentist
The son of a 50-year vetera
n in the field of dentistry, Eric Weinstein, D.D.S., P.C. He grew up in North Valley Stream and graduated from a three-year program at Adelphi University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He attended New York University College of Dentistry and graduated top of his class in 1991. He furthered his education in a post-doctorate general practice residency program at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, where he served as Chief Dental Resident until 1993. Dr. Weinstein first entered private practice in Bayside and Valley Stream and with his father for a year. He went on to open Island Dental Associates at 600 Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead and his practice grew from two chairs to nine chairs with a full-service, in-house dental laboratory.With the expansion of his dental practice he moved into his current state-of-the-art location across the street at 639 Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square. Drawing on the vast knowledge he attained during numerous hours of continuing education, he established a patient-centered practice that incorporates the latest technology and most current techniques in dental care. Working together with his Board-Certified Periodontist and his Orthodontist, Dr. Weinstein is proud to offer patients complete dental care under one roof. In 2011, after 20 years in private practice, he and his two partners opened Shine Dental Associates of the North Shore, located at 400 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset. The establishment of this upscale practice fulfilled his dream to open an office in the style of a posh Manhattan hotel. His attention to detail and knowledge of interior design greatly contributed to the creation of a luxurious masterpiece in the North Shore of Long Island. Dr. Weinstein’s participation in many dental societies, his thirst for advancing his dental career, and his genuine chair-side manner make him an outstanding clinician and exceptional member of the dental community. He maintains his attending position as part of the medical staff at North Shore University Hospital at Franklin Medical Center in Franklin Square, NY. His compassion for elderly and homebound individuals prompted Dr. Weinstein to establish the Visiting Dental Care of New York division of his practice, which provides patients with dental care in their homes. He visits hospitals, extended care facilities, residences, and nursing homes to provide all types of dental services at the convenience of his patients and their caregivers. Dr. Weinstein’s dedicated staff has been with him since he first began in private practice, and they support his endeavors to create smiles that last a lifetime and to make it affordable for patients to receive the care they want and deserve. Born and raised in Nassau County, Dr. Concetta Mangiaracina is the fourth of her six siblings. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from SUNY Stony Brook and went on to continue her studies in clinical research at New York University College of Dentistry. There she received her Advanced Certificate Degree in Clinical Research and worked as a Research Coordinator at the Bluestone Center for Clinical Research at NYU and became certified in Invisalign Orthodontics. Dr. Mangiaracina graduated from New York University College of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2009. She received the award from the Academy of General Dentistry for being the senior selected with the most knowledge, proficiency and skill in general dentistry. She also received the Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award for demonstrating superior performance in providing oral comprehensive and managing a dental practice. Dr. Vikas Mittle graduated from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine and furthered his education at the niversity of Maryland Periodontal Specialty Program. Upon completion of his studies at the University of Maryland, he became Board-Certified in Periodontics. Dr. Mittle recognizes that every patient’s case is unique and he strives to provide personalized, thorough treatment in a relaxed, patient-centric atmosphere. His gentle, confident approach makes the patient feel comfortable knowing they are receiving the best treatment in dentistry. He strongly believes in the mouth-body relationship and treats not only oral health but overall body health. Open communication is very important to Dr. Mittle. He continually corresponds with restorative dentist to optimize each patient’s treatment plan and treatment. Dr. Mittle is excited to play a role in improving each patient’s dental health and to maintain that health so the recurrence doesn’t happen again. On a personal note, Dr. Mittle is married and lives with his wife on Long Island’s North Shore. He is very active in the community. Dr. Mittle is an active sports enthusiast, playing tennis, baseball and football. You can probably find him enjoying the night watching a show in the city or exploring new restaurants. Furthermore, he loves to relax with his wife by hiking in the Adirondacks or “chilling” out in a sauna getting a massage. Dr. Stephanie Saraniti, D.D.S., General Dentist
Stephanie Saraniti, D.D.S., a proud native Long Islander, has been practicing general dentistry on Long Island for the past sixteen years. She obtained her BA in psychology at the State University of New York at Binghamton. Dr. Saraniti is a Cum Laude graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she received the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award. In addition, Dr. Saraniti was the recipient of the William Tucker and Carl Lasher Scholarships. Dr. Saraniti returned home to pursue her advanced training in general dentistry at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. Dr. Saraniti’s continually strives to evolve and enhance her dental skills by participating in various continuing education programs. On a personal note, Dr. Saraniti is married with two young children. She volunteers every February, during Children’s Dental Health Month, to speak about Dentistry and Oral Health at various preschools and elementary schools, as she understands the importance of a happy well-balanced family. Dr. Busch graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry in 1975. Upon graduation he was appointed to the teaching staff in the department of operative dentistry and crown and bridge. He then decided to further his education by specializing in the field of Endodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. He opened his practice limited to Endodontics in Syosset in 1975. Along with his 2 partners he also opened an Endodontic practice in Babylon in 1977. While practicing full time he taught part time at North Shore University Hospital, Stony Brook Dental College, and Nassau County Medical Center. In 1995 Dr. Busch became a full time faculty member at New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD), in the Endodontic department and the Chief of Endodontics at the Metropolitan Hospital Center. He has received many awards at NYUCD and is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the dental honor fraternity. He has lectured extensively on various Endodontic topics and is happy to return to his beginnings practicing again in Syosset. Dr. Michelle Yanover, D.D.S., General Dentist
Dr. Michelle Yanover brings many years of progressive and significant dental experience, as well as a passion for serving the Long Island community she now calls home. Dr. Yanover received her undergraduate degree at Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Dr. Yanover then went on to pursue her dental studies at State University of New York at Stony Brook, graduating in 2010. In addition, Dr. Yanover completed her general practice residency at the prestigious North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. Dr. Yanover enjoys treating patients in all aspects of general dentistry, and is certified in Botox and Derma fillers. The combination of these focus areas allow superior outcomes for a patient’s cosmetic needs, as well as management of Temperomandibular Joint Disorder (“TMJ”). Dr. Yanover is originally from Armonk, NY, and currently resides in Syosset with her husband, Jeff, and their daughter, Lauren. Daniella Sansotta, RDH
Daniella Sansotta, RDH, graduated of the Farmingdale State College School of Dental Hygiene, where she obtained her license to practice dental hygiene, and went on to complete the Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene program. She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association, as well as Nassau County Dental Hygiene Association. While completing her studies in the BSDH program at Farmingdale, Daniella completed her practicum by working with a reputable pharmaceutical manufacturer in the field of dental sales. This experience has enlightened Daniella to diversify her career within the profession of dental hygiene. While obtaining her license she completed her rotations at various healthcare facilities and hospitals on Long Island including LIJ Schneiders children hospital, Stony Brook Dental Clinic, and North Port’s VA clinic. Given that Daniella has a gift when it comes to putting children and special needs patients at ease in the dental chair, it is no wonder that she particularly enjoyed her experience at Schneider’s. At Shine, Daniella aims to build lasting relationships with her patients through a healthy dose of social interaction mixed with oral health education. Aside from ensuring that her patients’ mouths are as healthy as possible, Daniella’s passion is her family and friends. Daniella enjoys a great workout, and is an avid beach-goer (you can catch her at TOBAY) in the summer months. She strives to lead a healthy and hygienic lifestyle, and promotes such values to her patients, family, and friends.
