Hey there, beautiful smiles! 🌟 Did you know that wisdom teeth, or third molars, usually make their appearance between ages 17-25? Named because they come in at a more mature age, they're like our mouth’s rite of passage. But sometimes, there’s just not enough room for them to grow properly. 😅

Pain or discomfort at the back of your mouth.

Swelling or redness.

Difficulty opening your jaw.

Unpleasant taste or bad breath.

If you experience any of these, it’s a wise decision (pun intended!) to see your dentist. An impacted wisdom tooth can lead to infections, cysts, or damage to neighboring teeth.

📍 Remember: Regular dental check-ups can help monitor the growth and position of these late bloomers. Prevention and early detection are key!

Take care of that precious smile and stay wise about your wisdom teeth. 😁🌟

We all know sugar is bad for our teeth. But how much is okay? And how much is too much?

The types of food and drinks we choose matter. There are natural sources of sugar, like fruit, but then there are also options like cookies, candy, and sugary drinks that contain a high amount of processed sugar, leaving a sticky residue on your teeth, and attracting bad bacteria that can cause tooth decay.

The recommended daily allowance of sugar falls between 25-37.5 grams of sugar a day, which is less than the amount in one can of Coke and just a little more than two Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. 🍬

Make sure to brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss once to make sure you are keeping the cavity-causing bacteria away from your teeth!
