Dr. Katherine Carson, D.D.S., M.S. is a dentist specializing in saving teeth by focusing on the interior of the tooth called the root. Dr. Kathie Carson, D.D.S., M.S., is a 1996 graduate of West Virginia University’s School of Dentistry where she stayed to complete her general practice residency. In 1997, Dr. Carson joined the United States Navy working as a dentist. In 2004 while in the Navy, she completed her Endodontic training at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School and continued her work as a US Navy Endodontist until leaving for private practice. Dr. Carson worked for 11 years as an associate for an endodontic practice in Virginia Beach until opening her own practice in Suffolk Virginia. She has been a resident of Suffolk for many years, and she supports the local community. Dr. Carson became an endodontist because she has always had an interest in biology and pain management. Bacterial infection inside the tooth is one of the most common reasons for tooth pain. As an endodontist, she helps people in pain find relief while helping save their natural tooth.
