Dear Patients,
As the situation surrounding the Coronavirus epidemic continues to unfold, the Board of the Virginia Dental Association has unanimously requested all dentists to proactively postpone all non-emergency dental services for a period of two (2) weeks. The reason for the request is because dentistry has one of the highest risk categories for transmission of Coronavirus despite our universal barrier precautions.
In compliance with the request and for the overall safety of our patients, dental team, and community, I am reaching out to reschedule those patients whose care can be deferred for two weeks. Patients in the middle of treatment will still be seen at their regularly scheduled appointments. The office will still be open to manage any dental emergencies and for administrative efforts. If you are scheduled for an appointment during the remainder of this month, please do not hesitate to contact us regarding the status of your appointment. We are also starting to reach out to patients for rescheduling.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. We will be providing updates as we learn more.
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
Yours in Health,
Rick Jackomis, D.D.S.
